Pri Marjotu offers everything you need for a complete stay in Goriška Brda: excellent food, our own wine, high-quality accommodation and a perfect starting point for exploring the whole of Brda.

Gastronomic offer
In Brda, food is (almost) as important as wine. Over the long history of winemaking, the range of typical Brda dishes has grown as well, and every season brings fresh produce from the land. In our restaurant you can taste genuine Brda dishes (jota, prosciutto, polenta, goulash, strudel, chestnuts …) together with wine from our own vineyards. You are welcome to join us.
Outdoor terrace
If you are travelling through the Brda hills, a stop at Pri Marjotu is well worth it. On summer days, and especially on summer evenings, you can enjoy good food and wine with a wonderful view from our terrace. In the shade of the vines, a glass of properly chilled local wine tastes even better, and when a light breeze picks up, the experience is complete. You can also climb the 24-metre viewing tower a few metres from the restaurant, which offers a view over the whole of Brda.
Coach groups
Pri Marjotu has enough seating to host passengers from three coaches at the same time and, unlike many restaurants, also has proper parking for coaches. The restaurant stands right next to one of the best-known sights in Goriška Brda, the 24-metre viewing tower, where there is plenty of parking for cars and coaches. Guests can reach the restaurant easily and leave their vehicles and luggage safely parked.
Rooms
All our rooms are furnished with high-quality rustic furniture and accessories, and every room has its own bathroom with a shower or bath. The apartments have a kitchen with a dining and living area, a bedroom and a bathroom. All apartments have a TV with digital channels, and some also have a balcony. Parking is available for all guests. Our apartments are named after traditional Brda wooden wine barrels.

Electric bikes
To fully experience the beauties of Goriška Brda, we offer you rental of electric bicycles. Riding a regular bike through the hills of Brda is quite tiring, so the electric motor helps you overcome the ascents so that you can fully enjoy the beautiful view. Our restaurant is an excellent starting point for wandering around the entire Goriška Brda, as from here begins an abundance of both cycling and walking trails. We also offer rental of e-bikes for several days, so that you can see all the beauties of Brda in peace and breathe fresh air.
The bikes are top-quality e-bikes from renowned brands, and the rental also includes a helmet, a lock and a self-guided tour through the hills of Brda. Roadside assistance is always available, and on request visits to local winemakers and wine tastings can also be arranged.
It is advisable to book a bike at least 1 day before renting.

Location
Pri Marjotu is in the village of Gonjače in Goriška Brda. If you have not been to Brda before, the easiest way to reach us is to drive to Nova Gorica first. Take the bypass past Nova Gorica towards Dobrovo (Tolmin) and continue to Solkan. At the traffic lights in the north of Solkan turn left, and after 200 metres turn right over the bridge across the Soča river. The road runs briefly through Italy along the slopes of Mount Sabotin and brings you into Brda.
Drive through Podsabotin and turn right at the junction in Hum. Continue along the main road through Kojsko and you are in Gonjače. Drive through the village and look for the roadside sign with our name, which will lead you to the restaurant. The 24-metre viewing tower right next to us is also a good landmark.
